02 — How it works
Making the most of your benefits
Most PPO dental plans cover preventive care — exams, X-rays and cleanings — at or near 100%, and part of the cost of fillings, crowns, root canals and other treatment. Your plan also has an annual maximum, which usually resets on January 1. Scheduling needed care before your benefits reset can save you money.
Before any treatment, we give you a written estimate that shows what we expect your insurance to pay and what your share will be. Estimates depend on your plan’s rules and remaining benefits, and we’ll always tell you if something changes.
Florida Medicaid dental
We accept Florida Medicaid dental plans for children and adults. Children’s Medicaid dental coverage is comprehensive, including checkups, cleanings, fillings and other needed care. Adult coverage is more limited and centers on exams and X-rays, relief of pain and infection, extractions and full or partial dentures; some plans also cover cleanings and fillings with prior approval. Cosmetic treatment and implants are generally not covered. Bring your Medicaid card and we’ll confirm exactly what your plan covers before we start.
Medicare Advantage dental
Original Medicare doesn’t cover most routine dental care, but many Medicare Advantage plans do. We work with most Medicare Advantage plans, including Aetna Medicare and Humana Medicare. Bring your plan card and we’ll verify your dental coverage — including dentures, which many seniors in Miami Gardens need.
Paying for an emergency
Dental emergencies rarely come at a convenient time. Our emergency consult (exam only) is free, and we’ll give you your options and costs before treatment. If you need more time to pay, ask about financing. More about emergency care.

Frequently asked questions
Will my insurance cover tooth-colored fillings?
Most plans cover composite (tooth-colored) fillings on front teeth at the regular rate. On back teeth, some plans pay only what an amalgam filling would cost and you pay the difference. We’ll check your plan before your visit so there are no surprises.
Do you accept Medicare?
Original Medicare generally doesn’t cover routine dental care. We do work with most Medicare Advantage plans that include dental benefits, such as Aetna Medicare and Humana Medicare. Call us with your plan card and we’ll verify coverage.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes. We accept Florida Medicaid dental plans for children and adults. Coverage depends on your age and plan — for example, adult plans focus on exams, X-rays, extractions, emergency care and dentures, while children’s coverage is more comprehensive. We’ll verify your benefits before any treatment.
What if my plan isn’t listed?
The list above is not complete. Call us with your member ID — many PPO plans let you see any dentist, and we’ll tell you what your benefits look like at our office.

Start with our $88 new patient special. After that, ask about in-office savings options and financing so you can spread the cost of larger treatment over time.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer third-party financing, including CareCredit, and our team can help you compare options. Approval and terms depend on the lender.
